The first short story is fine. It's what I expected from Sally Rooney.

The second short story doesn't work well as an audiobook. It's confusing as to who's actually speaking, but this may reflect the way Sally writes as I've heard that she doesn't use speech marks when she writes.

Two great short stories from an author I have yet to read a full length book from. After listening to this I am thinking her other two books I have need to go higher on the current tbr pile. I like her writing style a lot. These two short stories explore the 'fleeting, sometimes awkward moments of attraction between two people'.

Narrated by Sam O'Mahoney and Aoife McMahon (a favourite narrator of mine

I think this was the final confirmation I needed that Sally Rooney is just not for me.

This was two short stories but it felt like nothing really happened. I understand they were only short, but other short books have at least some direction. Maybe it was just me, it just didn't feel like they really went anywhere?

The two stories were vaguely similar, except one of them wasn't incestuous.

Just not my cup of tea!
