I do not like this idea of kidnapping to force resonance. At least in this book, we do see
that Lila starts to get some feelings for Harrec before the glacier trip, but I do not like that the first thing the Sa-khui think of is to kidnap your desired woman with the hopes that resonance would happen.
I did think it was funny that Kate
turns it around and wants to kidnap Harrec to avoid resonance with Warrek or Taushen.
Excited to see what is up with
the spaceship returning, and so close to the fruit cave too.

I like that these later books have resonance happen later/after the characters get to know each other. Feels more genuine than the other way around, like how Lila thought.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were sweet. The banter between Harrec and Kate is really cute and funny. I loved how Kate helps Harrec whwn she found out he's squeamish when it comes to seeing his own blood. And the backstory on where his fear stems from is sad and terrifying. The way his parents died is just gruesome and the fact that Harrec had to see it as a kid is just horrible. I'm really happy that he has Kate to help him through it. The ending with summer and Warrek has me wanting to know what happens next. I feel something bad is coming and hope nothing too serious happens to anyone of the characters. I'm definitely excited to continue onto the next book.

I liked that this couple focused on helping each other become more comfortable and happy and confident in their lives and work through their insecurities.

Oh, this is my favorite one so far! I have such a weakness for people whose idea of flirting is teasing you and pushing your buttons tbh. 😅
