Eine Geschichte, die so schön, schrecklich traurig und herzzerreißend zu gleich ist, dass einem der Atem wegbleibt!
Delia Owens beschreibt, aufgrund ihrer Erfahrungen als Zoologin, das Leben in der Marsch so bildlich, logisch und vorallem magisch.
Das Buch weckt ein Verlangen, für Kya da zu sein! 

Es handelt sich meines Empfinden nach, um eine Mischung aus Krimi, Sachbuch und Romanze, die der Autorin sehr gut gelungen ist!

Leider keine 5 Sterne, da mir noch ein gewisses Etwas gefehlt hat…

The book was exquisite and I devoured the bulk of it in a few days. Owen writes with great detail and really showcases her knowledge of nature which significantly adds something to the book. Despite having watched the film beforehand, I was still shocked by some parts of the book and would highly recommend this book. 

The story is incredible and highlights the resilience of the main character Kya, who although had a difficult childhood alone in the marsh, was able to develop and learn from nature and her chosen family.
