This book was not to my liking at all. She is decent at writing sex scenes but I hated most of the characters. I also don't love when romance authors set up for every character to have their own book and romance. I refuse to believe every man in this reality is a sex god and every woman is a secretly amazingly physically attractive person who nobody has realized that about yet. Also, the word "turgid" should absolutely be banned, from everything. Nothing ruins a sex scene more than the word turgid. Or a main male lead who doesn't shut up the whole sex scene. I understand dirty talk is a thing but like....shut up for five seconds. Also, overuse of the word "Christ" during the sex scenes. I do not care for insta-love books. I don't find it romantic when characters love each other after one week, during which they mostly fucked and didn't talk much, and I especially don't find it romantic when characters give up major life plans to move in with someone after a month or less of knowing each other. At least they didn't also marry and get knocked up during that time, but still, moving that fast isn't romantic, it's a recipe for disaster.

Too Hot to Handle starts off with introducing us to the dysfunctional Clarkson siblings. This is book One, in the series that follows each sibling as they navigate the loss of their mother and struggle to find peace. Rita found herself in some, internet drama. Then her mother's restaurant that fell into her hands is burning down. In an attempt to carry out Miriam Clarksons with fornher children, Rita and her siblings cram themselves into a Suberban and take off on a cross country road trip.

I enjoyed Rita and Jasper. They definitely do fall into some insta-love. But it was fun and charming. The smutty scenes were, well spicy as hell. I love the idea that you could find your person in such a random way. Maybe we all need to take a gamble every now and then? It might turn out to be love. Eventually. Like, longer than 3 days. 😆 Jasper is just so swoon worthy. I feel like both of them are very relatable.

I really liked all of the Clarkson siblings! I'm so excited to get to each ones book. They are all so interesting. I think this is a fun story to pick up, it's a quick read with engaging characters and spicy spice.
