I'm sorry but chapter 29 was my undoing. I didn't know I had a physical adversion to the word pussy but hearing it ten thousand times in the span of a few minutes will do that to you. It was cringe enough when his dad kept saying it over and over again in the same chapter at the beginning, but after a round of the male actor trying to sound like a girl enjoying sex and doing an impressively poor job of it, this is where we part ways. I've hit my cringe level for the month, thanks.

***AUDIOBOOK***

4 STARS

This was really cute and slightly steamy story. I thought the couple had great chemistry and banter, secretly being attracted to each other but also loathing each other (or pretending to). It also contained a lot of my favorite tropes - enemies to lovers, sports romance, and fake dating.

I really thought the narrators did a great job too!

A mix between enemy to love and fake relationship tropes

Natalie and Brody love to hate each other. Their back and forth banter keeps the book light and entertaining. An unfortunate embarrassing night at a party gives Brody the opportunity he’s been waiting for with Natalie; a chance to get to her and possibly a relationship. Although he convinces her its just for show, he falls hard and fast and can’t deny his growing feelings for her, although she keeps pushing back. They have to overcome many obstacles to figure out if this will work for them, including a looming NHL contract and celebrity status for Brody.

Hate to Love You is a sweet, angsty, college hockey romance! It was a super easy read and I couldn’t put it down!

Brody is the ultimate hockey player…..and player. Natalie hates how he always teases her. But when her ex says something terrible at a party, Brody is there to defend her. To cover up after the blowup, they fake date until the rumor mill dies down but Brody realizes he wants to keep this tough girl forever.

I really enjoyed this book, the story was great and I loved the characters. I loved Natalie and Brody, Natalie wouldn't take any rubbish from Brody and didn't fall at his feet like all the puck bunnies, but that is what Brody liked about her.

Type "heart eyes" into the gif search bar, and the result with Patrick's face sitting on his hands with his feet kicking and hearts surrounding him is me reading this.
