Welp, I'm officially a sucker for these "three men" books by Lily! They're such just cute easy funny reverse harem stories! This one is about a woman running from her past, crashes her car in the mountains of Sweden during winter storms and ends up staying with three hot burly Swedish men. I mean, come on!

The plot in this book was a little less than her three bodyguards book. Not quite as much going on. But we had the mystery of trying to figure out what Daisy was running from (kinda predictable). And then trying to figure out how the guys got burned in the past. The plot is still good, I feel like we jumped in super quick with the plot, no real lead up.

The characters are great. Daisy is sweet and fun, but also sassy, I love all her little quips back to the boys, and she doesn't take any shit especially from our grumpy character Cole. The boys are awesome and all different. I love how playful and teasing Eli is. Riv is our intellectual serious boy. And as always my favorite is the grumpy man, in this story Cole. I love a man who is grouchy, broody, but cares deeply and loves hard.

The spice was excellent. We got again, a lot of group play. How these girls have the energy for three men I'll never know, but I love reading it.

All in all, another great read. I really enjoyed it. These kinds of books are my favorite palette cleansers from reading something that's super world building or emotionally taxing. They give me tons of laughs, keep me entertained, and always deliver on the smut.

sweet and steamy

I am absolutely obsessed with this book. It was everything I could ever want from an RH. The men were sweet and fun and each had distinct personalities but all fit together perfectly. Daisy was fun and cute and I just loved her. The book was plotted perfectly. I cannot wait to read more by Lily Gold!

I initially rated this as 5 stars, but then was telling a friend about it and realised that was a little generous.

It was sweet and spicy, but kinda flat underneath.

Based on the blurb, I was expecting a lighthearted steamy bit of fun, but actually it was pretty serious. Which isn’t necessarily off putting, but in this case it read like four beautiful idiots stumbling through heavy life experiences, and arriving at a resolution by accident more than through personal growth, which felt like a disservice to both the characters and the themes.

The writing had the mood of a holiday romcom, but it also had the themes and motivations of a serious drama, and it was just a bit incongruous. It didn’t help that the conflicts revolved around the FMC’s poor judgment and everyone’s poor communication skills - and not because things were lost in translation, because they weren’t. It felt like the author was torn between a romcom and a serious drama, and ended up under-delivering for both.

All that said, this is still 4 stars: it’s a good book, it just had the potential to be better.

Hilarious and every level of smut in one book, so… kind of iconic.

2.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ rounded up.. because I do like Lily Gold.

Daisy finds herself in a nightmare situation thanks to her manipulative ex-boyfriend. She just needs to escape from all the drama and the life she thought she had.. and then she meets Riven, Cole, and Eli. After visiting Sweden, she’s never quite the same.

I love Lily Gold, but this is the third book of hers I have read.. and it’s just too similar to the others. To quote another review, “it’s like the same story, in a different font.”

Love this one. The snowy setting, the character dynamic and everything in between. It was truly a unique story for a romance. Definitely a comfort read for me and I‘m definitely checking out other books by the author soon.
