I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! There was so much to love about Chloe and Michael's story. I loved watching them both grow and mature. Don't get me started on the scene towards the end. You'll know it when you see it. Amazingly perfect. This was a perfect book.

✩ 3.5 stars.

’When we break to breathe, he rests his forehead against mine, his brown eyes locking on mine.
“Please don’t stop,” I whisper. Beg.
He kisses my nose. My cheeks. My mouth. “Not even if I wanted to.”

Liked the book, despite the following ranty rant.

I don't know how to word what rubbed me the wrong way about how Chloe was characterized in the beginning, but it felt like the author decided to write a plus sized heroine (great) and so obviously her personality should be talking about junk food and how her late night snack runs are physical activity...I just didn't like that. It felt like a caricature of an overweight person. Now, I continued to enjoy the book and really liked the heroine overall, but that part just rubbed me the wrong way.
And like her constantly eating candy and stuffing her face, you know sometimes people are just overweight? It felt like the author was like look look I'm writing a fat character because she's shoving chocolate in her mouth all the time! That's what fat people do right?

Lauren writes stories I love, and I usually care about the people too. This series stretched my limits, tho. Michael isn't a great guy all the time. He's damaged. Chloe is my kind of heroine, tho. I identified with her maybe more than any character I've ever read.

I loved Isn't She Lovely, but I didn't particularly like Broken so I was nervous for this one. I loved it! O can't decide who I like better, Ethan or Michael. Both great characters. Chloe was by far my favorite heroine though!

The end was awesome as well.
SpoilerI loved that all the characters came together at the end and had their same personalities. I didn't like Paul in Broken but he was funny here. I'm glad they all worked out their shit and are a happy clan!<\spoilers>

I am a little sad we are out of characters. I will miss Ethan, Olivia, and Michael.

Received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the first book in this series. So far each book can be read as a standalone but parts of this book will make more sense if you read the first one. I have to say I enjoyed the first book a lot more than this one. I had a hard time with Michael at first but maybe that was the intent as part of showing his growth throughout the story. I loved Chloe. She was spunky and quirky and sassy and insecure (all characteristics I've heard about myself). She's probably my favorite female MC in a while but I felt like none of the guys in the book were good enough for her! That being said, I still enjoyed the book but it wasn't the same love I felt for #1. Definitely worth a read.
