The plot is over-the-top ridiculous but it’s a fun read

The first half of this story was so captivating!! The second part kind of lost my interest until the last couple chapters and I was hooked back in again

The story starts with David in prison for having murdered his 3-year-old son matthew. His sister-in-law Rachel comes to visit him and tell him that she thinks Matthew's actually still alive based on a photo she found at an amusement park. So David decides to break out of prison with the help of his godfather who is the warden at the prison. He and Rachel work together to find out that David's ex-wife Cheryl visited a fertility center when they were struggling to get pregnant with Matthew. The story gets a little convoluted but Rachel had a admirer named Hayden who is a wealthy man who owns amusement park and the fertility center. Hayden is now raising a boy and you think it's probably Matthew. When Cheryl visited the fertility center she did so under Rachel's name so her husband wouldn't find out and Hayden thought it was Rachel going to the facility center and had them use his sperm. When it turned out Cheryl was pregnant he assumed it was his child and use a boy from a orphanage as a replacement for matthew. He beat him to death in his bed and then a different crime organization frame David because of what David's father had done to that crime organization. But as it turns out Cheryl actually got pregnant by David not by the sperm donor which everyone knew except for Hayden and in the end in a shootout everything turns out fine. The only problem I have is that David broke out of jail to get a story when really he probably didn't need to and he did some terrible things when he was out of jail that probably would have landed him in jail anyway.

Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors, and I Will Find You stayed true to why that is so!! I loved this story from start to finish, and only took breaks when necessary to work, eat, and sleep. The story line was fresh and followed a father, willing to take the fall for something he didn't do because he felt responsible for his son's death. Or had he really been killed? Action-packed, I fell in love with the characters and the courage it took for those that supported him.

I would put this one on your must-reads for 2023.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harlan Coben and Grand Central Publishing for providing an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
