Another great mystery from Agatha Christie! This is one of my favourite premises and it works perfectly.

Oh, I actually had this one mostly figured out!
SpoilerAlthough I thought she was working with an accomplice, which she was not.

Funny, engaging and exciting. I'm really stoked to work on the stage version of this show in the upcoming semester.

I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. It started slow and boring. The middle was more interesting but there were so many suspects that it was annoying. I have learned with Mrs. Christie that you ignore every suspect until the end. I hate that the murderer is always mentioned at the very end. How are you suppose to even try to guess or participate. You are just sitting around like a cat, not allowed enjoy, just witness.

there was zero need for the last chapter to be a recap of the whole book

Aici Agatha Christie se concentrează mai mult pe personaje - le conturează mult mai bine, le creează povești complexe (dar care se dovedesc și funcționale spre sfârșit). O lectură excelentă de un weekend. Traducerea e ok, nu încurcă.

I'll always have a soft spot for this story after once playing Philippa in a school production. Despite remembering the ending well, I still enjoyed this mystery. It was well plotted, and Miss Marple took a more active role in the investigation than she had in the previous four books.

I do wish I had a time machine and could go back and read the book before I was in the play. I'd love to know if I would have picked up on the clues and red herrings if I didn't have foreknowledge of the ins and outs of the case.
