Honestly, I was wary of WHK. Why? Because after the Covenant and the Lux series I haven't really been able to enjoy any other of JLA's books too much. Buuuuut I really liked BSL and I was eager for WHK, despite the fact that it has a love triangle of sorts. But the book came to me as a pleasant surprise.
And of course, I'd like to point out that the fact that JLA said that Daemon was based on Roth had me all kinds of excited, because I miss the green-eyed alien. Anyway, Roth really wasn't too much like Daemon (since perfection doesn't occur twice :P). Besides, Roth grew into his own character, much different from Daemon in his own ways, and proved the one thing I've always believed in. Free will.
Layla was actually a surprising character for me. I was expecting a kick-ass, Warden slash Demon. But she was actually pretty normal-ish. And it was a refreshing change and while her bouts of jealousy when it came to Zayne and Danika was a little annoying.
The plot line was real good and I'm amazed again and again about how much authors have to research before they put in facts into their book. Abbot and all the other Wardens don't really have my respect right now. I mean, I understand being careful with her, but I do NOT understand being cruel to her. Petr and Eliza are the worst in the group of Wardens.
Zayne is probably the only Wardens that treat Layla like she is a normal human being. However, according to me, he isn't the one for Layla. He has never really expressed anything romantic towards her and thinks the worst of her sometimes. He forgets their Saturday-outing and when he apologizes and they argue, he makes her feel terrible and he feels terrible and then it's sort of downhill from there. I was never much of a Zayne fan anyway, besides I think that things started to end between them when she felt like she couldn't tell him about Roth because he would just think the worst.
I'm actually oscillating between 3.5 and 4. Well, you pick one and go with it. ;)
I do recommend the book, just don't lose interest halfway (because my friend said that happened to her).

I’m telling you she puts crack in her books. Like they are so entertaining, but honestly not that good. This world was actually kind of interesting with the angels and demons. I like the romance as

Me he sorprendido gratamente con este libro, al principio no estaba muy segura de querer leerlo pero estoy contenta de haberlo hecho.
Esperare a que el tercer libro salga para poder continuar con esta trilogía.
P.D. ¡Hoy es mi cumpleaños! Felices 19 para mi XD

I really enjoyed this. It was a nice light read, kind of like the lux series, it is the type of read you grab just to relax and have a fun. If you like the other books of Jennifer L. Armentrout I think you will definitely like this.
My favourite thing about this book was Roth. He was such a great character, definitely swoon-worthy. I laughed so hard at some of the things he said/did and other times he said the sweetest thing and I just melted. The heroine is also great and the other characters are also okay but if I have to highlight something of the book is that Roth is awesome.

This is my 3rd series I am listening to of Jennifer's. I really like her writing style, but found some similarities in this storyline to her Covenant series. However in saying that I still really enjoy her books and cant wait to finish this series.

I really enjoyed this. It's been a while since I read through the night.
I am confused as to how there are "Teams" though. Surely there is only one option.......Roth!
“I lost myself the moment I found you.”
I mean Come.ON! Swooon!
Zayne was an asshat :p

I really liked the world of demons and gargoyles. I loved Layla and Roth. Also thought Stacey and Sam were funny. I felt like we really didn't get to know Zayne I hope to learn more about him in later books. I plan to read the rest of series.
