I waited so long to finally read this book and it was worth the wait. We get the lush setting of New Orleans paired with the desperation of Cassidy as she tries to balance the human world and what lies beyond the veil.. just so much dramatic tension! I think that in this book we really get to see Cassidy come into her own as a character and finally take charge rather than constantly reacting to the various crises. I will say that I'm getting serious 'fourth book' vibes. but I'd also be wholly satisfied if this was the end of the series.

I really loved the setting in this read. It was such a fun/and spooky and creepy read. It was such a nice balance of those elements. The new setting was def a new favorite and really focused on friendship on many different relationships. I also loved how the adults in this series role expanded in this series. I really loved all the elements in this story and what the villain was. It was super fast pace read!! I hope we get more books following these characters in the future.

This series was so fun!! Middle grade, but wonderful for adults too. Cassidy and company travel to New Orleans, and I have to admit I’m partial to this city. I absolutely loved the landmarks and tourist spots traveled to. The addition of The Society was really neat, and I hope we see more of this world and characters in the future! Cassidy + Jacob forever!
