I’m not going to rate this book but I made it about 25% in and it’s just not for me. The dynamic of coach and player really gives the ick for me. The coach is way too rough for my liking and the player is always videoing people when he does sexual stuff and that seems like a bit too much as well.

Both people would honestly be in jail for types of assault and to me it annoys me when something says dark romance, but that just means it could be considered a type of sexual assault.

Oh and the age gap of almost 30 years is a too much for me as well.

Um why the hell have I not read this sooner?! I absolutely loved this. From them discovering they’re into each other, to Jack pushing Bryant’s buttons, to the intense chemistry they shared, to the sneaking around, to them falling in love was perfection.

I normally don’t like it when the MC’s fool around with other people other than each other but in this is was thrilling knowing Jack did it to get a reaction out of Bryant and Bryant only did it to try and fill the void.

I honestly had a hard time trying to put this down and to stop thinking about it at random times during the day. It had an insane amount of spice but also a hooking plot which I very much appreciated. You really connect with the characters and are rooting for their happy ending.

I cannot wait to read the rest of the series and will highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing MM romance read.

This story contained so many of my book icks that I contemplated DNFing a few separate times. I hate when M/M romance has graphic M/F scenes, and this book had multiple. I hate when M/M books use overtly misogynistic language to make the characters appear “gayer”. I hate when any romance book has OW/OM drama, and it was rampant here.

As you can see from my rating, I am a hypocrite because my affections can be bought. And they were bought by the absolute wildfire that is Jack and Bryant.

God, the chemistry is so great that I can’t even put it into words. The push and pull of this book is nearly top-tier. They were so obsessed with each other, and I lived for the toxicity and codependency of their relationship. And don’t get me started on the spice. Daddy kink? Nah, I’m all about Coach kink now. They were so hot together.

This story brought my emotions to crazy levels. There were times I was absolutely devastated that I could feel it in my chest. But the good times were so, so good. I was as addicted to them as they were with each other.

Even with all the aspects that I usually generally hate, everything in this book just absolutely worked for me. This was just such a good story that always kept me on the edge of my seat. I want to devour every book by this author now.
