The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Love the back and forth and the agonising back and forth between them. Hot and heavy with lots of emotion and sexuality exploration. Top feb 24 read

The insta-love, the ending and the sexism bumped it down for me.

Head In The Game by Rebecca Rathe
4.5 ⭐️
Steam: 4/5
Strong Language: 3.5/5
Characters: 5/5
Plot: 4.5/5
Head In The Game is a standalone, football romance. It is part of the Groveton College shared world but each can be read alone.
Coach Bryant Nicks is a tough talking and exacting man. He demands excellence from his players in all aspects of their lives. He has lived through the ups and downs of a college & NFL career and knows what it takes to succeed and survive in those waters. His standards might be hard to live up to but they will make the players into better athletes and people.
Jack Perry is a college football player who lives just a little too recklessly in his personal and student life. He gets in trouble at his college for an accidentally-on purpose indiscretion and needs to change schools. His cavalier attitude butts heads with Coach Nicks’ rigid style and the result is epic sparks. He loves pushing the Coach’s boundaries as much as his Coach enjoys pushing him.
The two men have a meeting of the minds (and other things) in this sports romance. Their relationship is taboo, age gap, and electric. The story is ultimately about two people who push for the best in each other. They are wonderful, driven characters and make this a great read.
