I credit Marechera for getting me back into reading at least for a while (2020-1 we don’t talk about hahaha)
Probably not a perfect novel but I find myself endlessly fascinated by his actual life which informs his work dramatically and the vivid and violent imagery and descriptions he uses throughout. Not for everyone but maybe worth a try, if nothing read up on his biography/wiki? Or just read any of his novels?
