Although I normally read fantasy, I absolutely LOVED this book. It felt a little predictable at times but I was still hooked.

I genuinely cared about all of the characters and their lives and feelings.
Except Daphne screw that back stabbing b*tch

The last 60 ish pages were a wild time. I was completely hooked. I went to Barnes and Noble to pick up the second one at 7:30 pm

I shouldn’t rate this as high as i did. Was it good? Not really. Was it predictable? Oh for sure. Did I voraciously devour it in two days? Yes. This just made me happy and I don’t particularly know why.

Geez! Another unexpected sad ending! Though I really couldn’t see another way for it to end ... and since it looks like it’s planned to be the first in a series, it maybe isn’t actually the ending. That makes more sense If it were a stand alone, I’d give it 3 stars. But as the beginning of a series, I’m upgrading to 4. It would be a good place to leave the first book in a trilogy. As a stand alone book, there would be way too many threads left hanging.
Anyway, other than the ending, it was a light, fun read.

So. Much. Drama.

[⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE FIRST 16-ISH CHAPTERS DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE BOOK OR WANT TO REACT IN YOUR OWN WAY⚠️]

(I am also assuming you have read the summary of this book. If not? ...Idk why you're reading this but go on I guess 🤷‍♀️)

Connor (Beatrice's guard) is in absolute LOVE with her he is SO BAD AT HIDING HIS FEELINGS
Beatrice and her sis Samantha are beefing over a blonde bitch named Theo 😥 So like- Sam MADE OUT with theo in a closet and Beatrice found him attractive aswell and the kinda side eyed each other down when on a jog with their Dad one morning. Shit was awkward as HELL 😬

Daphne deserves better 😭
Jeff is a CERTIFIED HOE
Along with Nina, I don't like her bitch ass.

That's all I know 😁👍 Pretty good on my part, don't really plan on finishing it.

This book was good. I was definitely interested in
how it ended which kept me listening. lam not a
fan of all the different narrators. I really liked
Connor so lam bummed with that entire
situation. I couldn't stand Daphne. I want to know
what happens next so I'm off to read the next one!

Is it me or does some of this seem like it was directly lifted from _The Royal We_?
