(Ooh I'm so mad)
This book pissed me the hell off in so many ways I can't even begin to tell you, and that sucks cause I really enjoyed the first book. Now I understand how suicide is a taboo topic that many authors don't like to write about and the ones that do, can do right by it but there are a few who miss the mark. I can't even begin to tell you how many times suicide was mentioned it was that many and it wasn't done in a good way either. She made it seem like Eureka's attempted suicide was almost like a character trait. ( I honestly don't know how to explain it).
None of the characters had any growth and honestly, the plot made no sense to me, I was so confused throughout this whole book like nothing made sense to me. And that ending!!! Do not even get me started on that.
There was this one scene that made me want to throw the book. Without spoiling-you know what I don't care; When Filizgrandmother murdered Eureka's father in front of her and her younger siblings and Eureka in a fit of anger and sadness killed Filiz grandmother everyone was up in arms about it, but NO ONE mentioned how the old woman had MURDERED Eureka's father! Nothing was said! I'm not saying this justifies her killing the old woman but come one! That pissed me the hell off.
I hoped to like these books and I admit it was a cover buy for the first one cause that cover is gorgeous but sadly the second book was a total miss for me.
