This is my 2nd book by Glines and I'm not sure her writing style is my cuppa tea. It's like skimming the surface of a pretty shallow pond. Not everything has to be angsty but the characters come across wooden and immature. I may yet try one of her earlier books because I feel I'm missing the party.
As for this book, I started skimming it about 20% into the book and kept on until about 70% when it started getting interesting. This comes with a hero horror show, so not much to say other than eew.

It was a good book, and Cruz was definitely not swoon worthy. He was really just a pig. But overall good story!

2.5 stars. Felt like I was cheated out of the story the blur gives. You think the story will be about Eli finding his perfect match. But it isn't, it's mostly all about Lila and someone named Cruz. Eli only had about four chapters and this book has forty four. Just for you to see how little is spent on Eli. I really hope Abbi writes a book for Eli, one that would due him justice rather than the lie this book is.

I really don't know how feel about this book... I don't like Cruz K. (because she named two characters Cruz???) at all and Eli is a precious cinnamon roll. This book really disappointed me and I really love Abbi's books too.

4.5 Because of Lila Stars

I liked this book better than the first in the series because we didn’t have to wait so long for things to start moving.

I really loved Lila’s character. She was timid yes but it was more a quiet strength. She needed to get out of the house and become who she knew she was always meant to be. I really loved that it kind of reminded me a lot of Della.

I was very happy we got to have some of the ole gang in this book more so than the first book. Maybe I was waiting too much to see them older.

The two yes I said two love interests in this book couldn’t be farther from each other in attitude and characters and I love that we don’t’ really know what’s going to happen until it does.

Loved, LOVED the narration. I feel all three did a fantastic job. I can’t wait for more books in this series.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

More like 4.5 stars.
But yeah, I liked it. The resolution was a bit too fast but I love Lila so it's okay.
Abbi Glines does it again.

Allí conoce a Eli Hardy, hijo de Marcus y Low ([b:Because of Low|13146214|Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2)|Abbi Glines|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1322924946s/13146214.jpg|18323697]), y ambos inician una curiosa relación de amigos con derechos.

“I don’t want to just be the beginning of your adventure Lila. I want to be the end.”
