Once Bitten...
One minute Leigh is walking home in the early hours of the morning, and the next a vampire is sinking his teeth into her neck. Turns out it was a rogue vampire marked for termination, but it does Leigh little good because the damage's already been done. She's become one of them.
Lucian Argeneau, hunter of rogue vampires, has been alive for over two thousand years, and there's very little to excite him anymore.
Great story once again..I like this narrator.

Finally, Lucian gets his own story.
So far a lot has been seen of Lucian, but all we've seen is a man who does everything he can to protect his family, even threaten others. Now, we get a chance to see his softer side.
He didn't expect to find his life mate in a woman connected with a current hunt for a rogue. Now he's starting to want and feel things he hasn't for thousands of years and it's all because of Leigh.
My only problem with this book, Leigh takes to being an immortal almost too easily. It's like she's told she is one and instead of freaking out she rationalizes it and accepts it. That may be part of the reason that Lucian likes her so much, but it is still a bit strange to me. Of course, I'm not like Leigh so how I would react would be totally different. :)

Re read from almost 8 years ago and its fair to say its not aged well. Not sure if I've read better written books since then or if it was always as predicable.

This series is still good, but becoming rather repetitive. The women all seem to have do exactly the same thing, and the love scenes have become rather boring because of it.

Eh. At least well written, but it's the same plot line as any other vampire book these days.
