Lucky for me I only have sons, so I was never subjected to watching Frozen on repeat for weeks on end. Also, no musical renditions of Let It Go. I did enjoy the movie the one time I forced my kids to watch it though. :P When I decided to read Bitter Cold, I realized that Frozen was my only real experience with the Snow Queen. I went straight out and borrowed a copy from the library. Bitter Cold is much closer to the original story, but with a steampunk twist.
I absolutely adored Katina's take of the classic story, with the steampunk gadgets being my favorite addition! Not many authors can claim to have clockwork reindeer in their books! It's definitely a fun read, but I wish that I could have seen more interaction between Greta and Kit before their separation. Although... I get the impression there could be more books to follow, so maybe I'll get my chance to see more of them yet. ;)
