My daughters (8 and 4) love the Rebel Girls books, and so do I! The pictures catch their attention and before bedtime they choose a person each, dipping into incredible and empowering stories without being overwhelmed. It is so important for our daughters and sons to read about women who have made a difference and I am planning to buy this book for my nephews as soon as I can. I also really loved the practical exercises at the end and when my girls are a bit older we will definitely use them for inspiration.

Thank you NetGalley and Rebel Girls for providing this ARC.

Rebel girls Lead is a short non-fiction book which has the stories of 25 female leaders.
I was aware of the stories of some of these women like Malala, Michelle Obama and Cleopatra, but the others were so inspiring like Kamala Harris, Lady Gaga and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Also loved the illustrations and the concept of adding one of their quotes.

I love this book and believe it is perfect for any young teen. It provides the story of successful females that empowers the young mind. It includes activities that the teens can do to see what kind of activist they are. Also there is a page for the teen to add themselves to the book and write a short description about themselves. Overall I think this is a perfect gift for any teen to help motivate them to dream bigger.

This is a book that all young girls should read. Many times we only see girls portrayed one way on TV or in books and so we grow up thinking we need to fit into that mold and then feel we are abnormal when we want to do something that is "not ladylike" or "not for girls" so we let go of those goals and dreams. Books like this show that it is okay to not fit into the mold, that it is often better to break that mold and make ourselves who we want to be rather than what others think we should be. The stories in this book show just how much good can be accomplished by doing the unexpected and how that can help others as well. I hope this is a book that parents read to their children, both boys and girls, to help them see that they shape who they want to be and not the other way around.

Thank you, NetGalley for the chance to read this book!

In this volume of rebel girls, short stories are presented about the lives of 25 women who were or are leaders in the world, but not only political leaders, but athletes and artists as well, who stand out in what they do or did.

The information is quite basic, sometimes it seems that it does not have a chronological order and in some narratives it has errors. The most notable is the one they do with Queen Elizabeth I, saying that she and her brother Edward were Jane’s children, when her mother was Anne Boleyn.

Another notable thing is that most of these women are from the United States of America and there is not much diversity among them either.

There is one thing that seems to me a mistake and almost an offense, for the culture, as for Mexican women and it is: "Once upon a time there was a girl who didn't want to make tortillas" like what? It seems stereotypical and offensive to me (and I am a Mexican woman).

I would not say that it is a good book, but this is my opinion, I am not a mother, nor am I the target of this book.

These 25 tales were interesting, especially since there were a lot of stories about women and girls I hadn't heard about. I feel ashamed to have not heard about some of them. I like that it doesn't delve too deep into their lives, just the key points, which leads you to wanting to learn more about them. The illustrations in this book are so beautiful.

Thanks to Rebel Girls for the DRC!
This book brings inspiring examples of women leaders in politics, business, sports, activism, and more. They all come from different places, which makes this read even more relatable. I think it's an important read for young girls, who wonder if they will ever be able to help people and make a difference in the world somehow. I strongly recommend all books by Rebel Girls. Love them all.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book features short biographies of inspirational women like Malala Yousafzai, Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Aly Raisman, Some of the stories were already previously published in other books of the Rebel Girls brand. I really like idea behind the Rebel Girls books that shows girls that whatever interests or dreams they have they can affect great change in the world.

I think young children will find this book empowering, fascinating and motivational.
The illustrations are beautiful and vibrant by artists from around the world.
The only points criticism are that the selection of leaders is a bit too U.S.-centric. Furthermore Michelle Obama's story was a bit too focused on her husband even though she is a very successful leader herself and responsible for a lot projects benefiting children.

I have loved Rebel Girls since their beginning! I supported their first book on Kickstarter and was so thrilled when it finally arrived. These books are so expertly written, each vignette packed with information in a completely relatable and bite size way. Even my 2 and 3 year old nephews can sit through a couple. And the illustrations are so full of life and adventure! These are some of my most favorite books! I have learned so much from them!
