Not for me, the romance was cute but really tedious. And a lot of weird things happend so probably the last time I read a vampire book.

It would be 4 stars if Thea didn’t make me want to choke her out. Julian is a book boyfriend for real, deserves better than an idiotic 21(?) year old.

This book was so good but felt like it shouldn't be good. I feel like the author really wanted to put multiple things in the book but couldn't execute them properly so we ended up with a mess that kept me compelled to read it.
Thea is an idiot. Like actually an idiot. My only thought was if she had brain cells. She kind of has a personality but then looses it.
Julian kinda reminds me of the stereotypical wattpad vampire. Where he's against a thing right up until it gets too hard and boom. Let's just go along with the council.
I'm still not sure I like the whole Virgin thing and how it works. Like a character being a virgin is cool, you know some people don't have sex till late in their adulthood, but to make it their whole character arc which doesn't even get resolved.
Then this whole mate thing. Makes sense but then it doesn't make sense because of how the author describes how the others act about this human and her blood.
Like this is 3.5 just because of how entertaining it is.

I barely finished. The writing might just be not my style. It is only in a span of 1-2 weeks, no real plot development, and the main characters reminded me of toddlers.

I loved this book, vampires, spice, money, high society, rituals, traditions. What’s not to love?!
