I wanted to read this series as I have seen it everywhere and I’m slightly disappointed in myself for not picking this up when I was much younger. However, as a 23-year-old reading Percy Jackson for the first time, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end.

This book follows Percy Jackson who has been dreaded this day for as long as he has known he has known who the father is. Most people get presents on their sixteenth birthday, Percy got a prophecy that could save or destroy the world. It happens when you’re the son of Poseidon, God of the Sea. According to the ancient prophecy, he turns sixteen and the fate of the entire world is on him. But no pressure. Now Kronos, Lord of the Titans, is beginning his attack on New York City. And the dreaded evil monster Typhon is also heading their way. So, it’s Percy and the camp and his friends his made along the way versus the untold evil.

This was the book I was waiting for; I didn’t want this book to end, and I was also terrified for how it was going to end. I loved this book. Everything came to a point, and it was wrapped in a neat bow. It had its bits of serious but then still complete banter, and you can tell that it was about a sixteen-year-old. There is a whole ass fight and Percy is worried about upsetting both Rachel and Annabeth. I love how the world is getting built with the action like you don’t feel behind and you know what’s going on. This is because of how Rick Riordan has a way of describing things in such a youthful way. I loved this storyline and how Percy has fully grown up and how he ends up making a deal with the gods about reclaiming their kids.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this book and I’m sad this series is over but so glad that the TV show is now up and running. I have seen that there is a sixth book, and instantly pre-ordered that but in the meantime, I'll be watching the TV show on repeat.

With The Last Olympian, Rick Riordan perfectly wraps up the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

This book starts and ends with heartbreak, but is filled with heartwarming, funny, and game-changing interactions. Plus some more heartbreak.

I don't think the Percy Jackson series could have been wrapped up better than it was with The Last Olympian.

Questions were answered, battles were fought, and characters got closure. What more could you want from a series finale?

I loved this book. 5 stars! Favorite out of the series.

So I think this book was very funny,  but it did have its moments. I love how we get to see the main character grow, especially with the love interest. There are many great side characters we've gotten known throughout the series. The author does a great job at certain hard situations that have to be faced too, for example when someone will fall in battle.

I thought this was super iconic. A got a little emotional a few times. This book is medium to fast paced, and it's even got a map.

Can I just say, Nico Di Angelo? Yes? Do we all agree? Give the guy a break. Love him.

If you're thinking of reading this series, definitely give it a shot. Big chance you're gonna love it.
