I don’t typically give 5 stars to Christian Fiction books were the faith isn’t a big part of the book. However, the way this was written was to good to pass up a high rating. I had all the suspects they did. However , every few pages I was convinced I knew exactly who it was and I just kept being wrong! That was a fun ride! Their was faith moments in the book as well. Just wonderfully written!

This exciting new release captured my attention from the first chapter. Since reading Standoff, book one in this series, I had eagerly been anticipating this second novel. I was delighted to find Obsession reads easily as a standalone novel and kept me entranced from beginning to end! Like the first book in the series, I enjoyed reading about the different roles of the park ranger service as well as learning more about the historical aspects of the Natchez Trace and its surrounding area.

The suspense builds quickly throughout this story and carries well to the climax. I found the characters to be relatable and likable. Emma was strong, independent and vivacious. As for Sam, his character endeared me to him as he held on to his anger over his father’s situation and I felt deeply for him. As he works through forgiveness and reconciliation, there was a strong lesson there anyone can benefit from. It was inspiring to see Bradley’s characters change and grow. The romance in the book has sparks right from the start and I really enjoyed witnessing it deepen. I think the chemistry between Sam and Emma was the perfect combination of tension and attraction. The faith elements to this story were well placed and off-set the dark secrets and mysterious storyline, which was my attraction to this particular story!

In the beginning, many characters and names were introduced so I had some trouble sorting everyone out in my mind, but as the story and suspense built, so did my confidence in the characters and people that were named. Bradley kept me guessing as her plot thickened and despite the fact that I felt Emma took her situation entirely too lightly, I found the book to be fast-paced, engaging and interesting. Overall, this was a great read and I enjoyed it more than the first book in the series! I believe readers who enjoy series by Lynn H. Blackburn, Irene Hannon, Dani Pettrey or Elizabeth Goddard will enjoy this novel. This story is clean and appropriate for ages 16+.

I knew after the first installment that this series was going to be a winner! Bradley has done another fantastic job at creating a unique and thrilling suspense story that keeps you turning the pages until the very end. Set in a Natchez, Mississippi, this book follows two park rangers as they work to figure out who is shooting at them, and which one is the actual target. Cold case murders, archeological digs, missing persons, stalkers, and elusive shooters; this book has a unique mix of elements that blend together into a remarkable story. You'll love the pace of the story, the unique characters, and the beautiful backdrop setting. The only thing you'll have to decide is who to trust.

Obsession is the second book in Patricia Bradley's Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. While the previous lead from book one is mentioned very briefly in this story, there is nothing from the first book that is needed to understand this story, and as such can be read as a standalone too.

Right from the start, the action begins in this story and really doesn't let up throughout the story. There may be moments of calm, of course, but the next big moment is just around the corner and certainly keeps you guessing as to what exactly that will be. In this story, we meet Emma as she's stumbling upon a crime in progress. When shots are fired, Sam is called in as the law enforcement district ranger. Having broken up years before, their history is a rough one but when it seems like Emma has a stalker they must learn to put the past behind them to keep her safe.

The author did a great job of leaving subtle clues throughout the story that put suspicion in various directions. As such, while the ultimate bad guy is one whom I suspected very early on, there was enough of a question to keep me wondering about others as well. This was in part done by giving us a glimpse into the stalker's point of view, which certainly gave it a unique perspective.

In addition to the suspense, it also featured a good blend of romance and a message of letting go of guilt that truly made it an all around good story. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this is definitely one to check out.

Obsession is the second book in Patricia Bradley’s Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, and I did not get a chance to read her first book in this series, Standoff. However, this book pulled me right in from the start and continued to the end, wow! Emma is not very happy that she has to work with her ex-fiancé Sam Ryker until someone shoots at her. The characters and plotline are solid, I enjoyed how it kept me guessing until the end, and for me, that is a page-turner. I highly recommend this book.

I would like to thank Revell for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I enjoyed this book so much I went back and got the first book in this series and read that too.

Patricia Bradley does a great job building her characters and their personalities. You definitely find yourself rooting for them or against them depending on who they are. The story is well developed and interesting. The scene is set and there is plenty of action with some complicated romantic entanglements thrown in.

This book is definitely worth a read and while it has people of Christian faith in it, living a life of faith; it isn't preachy or over used in the book.

I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

I was sent a free copy with the hope of an honest review.

This was a super exciting read. I really enjoyed the cold case of Emma's missing brother along with the current day mysteries facing Emma and Sam. The story moved extremely well and was a very easy read. It held my attention throughout and I had trouble putting it down. A solid Christian Fiction suspense novel that leaves me wanting the next in the series asap!!
