Heather Wells, former pop-star turned assistant residence hall director, is dealing with unruly summer students, a celebrity who's married to her ex-boyfriend, the ex-boyfriend's brother who is now Heather's boyfriend, and a stalker while trying to manage things at the "death dorm." Light fun reading with humorous asides by Heather. It helps if you've read the earlier Heather Wells novels.

Probably more like 3.5...

Fun, fluffy, and I do love me some Heather. I liked getting to know Tania better - poor thing - but I missed Magda and Pete.

I enjoyed returning to this series after a long wait. When Heather's ex (Cooper's brother) and his new wife start filming a reality series in the residence hall where she's director, trouble soon returns to "Death Dorm". Heather soon finds herself in the middle of another murder investigation.
As always, Heather finds herself in both humorous and deadly situations. I also enjoyed seeing how Heather and Cooper's relationship has evolved and getting to see more of his dysfunctional family. This was a great addition to the series.

I loved these books. Cannot wait to read #4.

Well, I read it. I was disappointed. It took me forever to finish this short book. I just didn't care about any of the characters at all, I didn't feel any of the chemistry between any of the characters. Just not very good.

Sigh poor Heather. She's way too nice to people who have hurt her in the past.

Another enjoyable installment to the Heather Wells series. It's strange to go from Cabot's Abandon series, with a female protagonist that acts almost too stupid to live sometimes, to one of Cabot's adult novels, where her character has a MUCH better head on her shoulders. It's definitely more enjoyable to read about Heather than Pierce.

I enjoyed seeing more of Tania and Jordan and--the best of the three--Cooper. I think the murder-stalker plot was fun to read and the whole thing was easy to sink back into, despite the years that have passed since book three.

As a previous housing and residence life employee (3.5 looong years) I enjoy the little dorm-life touches that accompany the main plot. I'm looking forward to the next book and seeing more of Heather's new boss and what happens to Simon.
Spoiler Also excited to see how the rest of the Cartwright family reacts knowing that Heather and Cooper are getting married!

If you're a fan of Cabot or on the fence about her work, I would definitely recommend this series!

Its summer and Heather Wells is back – and just because school is out doesn’t mean things have quieted down at Fischer Hall aka. Death Dorm. When Tania Trace’s bodyguard get shot, there’s only one place the pint-sized pregnant pop star feels safe enough to hold her rock camp – at Heather’s work. Heather has enough on her plate as it is. There’s her secret engagement to Cooper, making sure that her “misfit toys” behave and keep the dorm running smoothly and now she has to cope with fifty teenage girls complete with stylists, primadonna attitudes and their uppity stage mothers.

Murder is in the air and it’s up to Heather with some help from her private eye fiancé to get to the bottom of who is threatening Tania before the murderer strikes again.

I’m a huge Heather Wells fan. I love the adventure and suspense mixed in with some romance and fun. This novel is different than the previous ones in the series because it deals with a few more series issues – infertility, emotional and physical abuse. I think it’s because of the more series nature of this book along with the fact that Heather is now fairly settled romantically that this book didn’t have the same spark and zing as I’ve become accustomed to when reading a Heather Wells books.

The ending felt a little rushed and not as well planned out as I would have liked. I was also a little confused over some of the character’s actions (I’m still at a loss to why they kept telling people about the engagement and then denying it whilst at the same time and for some reason trying to keep it a secret). I would have liked to have seen more of Heather’s students that she kept looking out for at Fischer Hall – the camaraderie and friendship Heather has with people like Gavin are one of the reasons why I love this series and with the exception of the first few chapters it was missing from this instalment.

I can’t wait to read the next book which promises to focus on the wedding! Hopefully Heather will be back to her slightly crazy but oh-so-loveable self.

This wasn't my favorite in the series, but still a fun read.  It was easy to read, the mystery was mysterious enough that I wanted to keep reading without falling into a stupor. This book is filled with Ms. Cabots hystrical sense of humor but for some reason, I wasn’t as invested in this book as I was with the other books in this series. It was good and I’m glad that I read it but for some reason, it took me forever to get through it. I’m glad that I read it, though. I’d recommend it to fans of the series and to fans of Meg Cabot but like I said, it’s not my favorite.
