I take it back. I take it all back. This series has me in its clutches, and it’s not going to let go until I’ve finished them all.

I didn’t *love* the first book.. but Ignite was absolutely fantastic. “Catalyst” walked so that “Ignite” could run, or something.

It felt less like a mafia-rom-com this time around, probably because we’re seeing more and more of the inner workings of Jaxon’s world. And holy shit, has Natalie become an incredible badass FMC!

I actually teared up at a few points, which almost never happens to me anymore.. and we’re not done. I’m so scared for the end!!

I will give the author this. She sure knows how to write an AMAZING last 50 pages in a book. I hated the rest of the book. It had the same issues that I had with the first one. Jaxon again is an idiot when it comes to being Don. He is great, sometimes with Natalie, but he really makes bad decisions. Like honestly terrible decisions.

“I warn you. It would be unwise to underestimate a woman, Sir,” she whispers, pushing the gun harder into his throat. “We aren’t just sweet or strong, bold or beautiful, intelligent or inviting. Unlike you, we don’t have to choose. We are all of it. We can run your household or ruin your life, and within each of us burns a flame."

Natalie is the best ever!!! She really stepped into her role as Queen!! Regina Vestra, the queen of the mafia!!! I love her!!! Honestly, she's the reason I even kept up with this book. Her and Charlie, Jessica, Ethan, and the rest of the side characters. Jaxon is going further and further down my list. I mean, come on, can Natalie just rule by herself because she sure as hell has more sense that Jaxon!

That ending killed me! I don't want to finish this series. I really don't, but I need to know what happens with Ethan, what Rachel is going to do, and how Natalie will react to everything. She's so strong. She's a queen whose better than her king. He needs to step aside for her!
