This is a wonderful testament to a year in Kelly's life, a spent on the space station, a year of seeing Earth in a way that very few will get to. This is a heavily packed book, with pictures of the station itself, their living quarters, other crew mates, and working labs. Yet the majority of the book is devoted to his abstract-like images of Earth; deserts, mountains, farmlands, cities, islands, water, volcanoes and more. These images are mesmerizing. One moment they seem like tessellations and the next like huge impressions of colored shapes with no rhyme or reason.
Fortunately Mr. Kelly provided captions for each image because left on one's own, it is rather doubtful that most of them could be identified.
Outstanding book. You will want to look through it slowly and certainly many times.

Photography is subjective, but whether or not you appreciate the compositions Kelly created, you’ll be in awe of the vistas included within this book’s pages.

Scott Kelly shared so many beautiful space photographs of earth. They show earth‘s beauty and variety.

Collection of beautiful photos taken from space. Most pictures are of areas of the earth, some are showing the insides of the ISS.
