So we went to our first lamaze class last night, and walked out asking 'WHERE WAS THE DATA?!'.
Expecting Better is the data I was looking for.
Defiantly recommend to anyone who is currently, or looking to get get pregnant.

This is, hands-down, the best pregnancy book I have read. This breaks down some of the conventional pregnancy thoughts and recommendations (i.e. allowable amount of caffeine, "avoid" foods like sushi, deli meats, etc.) and explains why this recommendation came to be and why it is wrong (or right). Oster uses her judgment as an economist via evaluations of relevant case studies.
Also, this says we can eat sushi (with some risks). Always a plus.

It does not give any specific advise, but it provides enough information to make the best decisions for you and your family. A must for new expecting mothers.

Made going through pregnancy much less stressful and helped me feel like I was making informed, data-driven decisions for myself.

This was a great book. However, I did not find a lot of the information to be new for me. Great concepts and reviews for Mom's who have yet to start their pregnancy + labor and delivery education.
