I'm not really sure what to say about this book. I liked it but there were things I didn't like which is why it's rated 3 stars.
I liked the characters and plot. The characters were nice and I couldnt wait to see what happened to Abi. Matt could be kind of a idiot sometimes. Some excuses he come out with, where ridiculous and made me want to punch him in the face for Abi.
The plot was interesting, but was dragged on for too long with parts that had nothing really happening. There was no climax moment throughout the book.
This book could of been made into a paranormal/ YA book. Abi got memories from Matt's dead sister after walking up with no memories.
We didn't see Abi get her memories back or even start to. Its kind of like it was forgotten about.
After what Bill did to Abi and he got arrested, he was also forgotten about. We didn't know what happened to him or did he get sentenced, was he let free? No clue!
Also after Abi had her first couple of memories of Matt, she doesnt have any for the rest of the book. Which confused me.
I think this book could of been shortened down to about 150 pages and still got the same content but without it being dragged on. Which would of made it more enjoyable.

First off, congrats to Gabbie Duran on her debut novel..it really is a great debut!
Those of you that read my reviews know that I don't like to give a recap of the storyline, I just like to get in there with my emotions about the book. So that being said...
This was a great story that had my emotions all over the place. I was swooning, I was sad, I laughed, I was frustrated. I wanted to know more.
The memory angle of the book was interesting but it sort of took the backseat to the rest of the story for me. At first I was a little skeeved out, worried about the direction the story was taking with where Abigail's memories were coming from. It started to feel a little Drop Dead Diva to me. Let's just say I'm glad it didn't go that way. I don't feel like that part of the story needed to be explained further. It just was what it was and accepted it.
I loved getting to read as Abigail discovered her new self and honestly I really enjoyed Matt & Abigail as a couple. I only wish that they had actually been more of one.
Jesus, did I want to like Matt. Let me clarify, I did like Matt but there were two things that he did that really just pissed me off. I mean really pissed me off and the worst part is I could understand those choices had he not given really lame excuses. The first one, yeah, you'll know what I'm talking about when you read this I was hoping he gave more of a good reason for doing it not just "it just happened." I was looking for more of a "my feelings were so crazy after that morning that I got scared and freaked out" reason not "it just happened." Then later towards the end of the book he pisses me off more that he doesn't have a more protective reaction for Abigail, I expected him to stand up and defend her instead he just sat by helplessly.
I realize none of this makes sense unless you've read the book so that's why you need to get out there and read it!!
My only complaint, I almost wish it was more angsty at times. I would have liked to have seen more of what happened with Bill & his assistant when they discovered Abigail took all her money and ran or after he found her. I would have liked to seen Matt having to be more regretful of some of his choices.
Overall though this was an excellent debut and I look forward to reading more from Gabbie Duran.

*I received an ARC from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.
