3.5 stars. I liked this book, but it didn't have the same suspense as the main series with Mr. Duffy. I am glad that April (Theo's friend) got a highlight in this book, though.

It is not bad , i would rather give it three and a half, but alas Goodreads doesn't offer that yet.
It is a simple story though page turning but not something I would read in a go.

I enjoyed this book as a well written, suspenseful read. The central story was tense and had high stakes. I read it in an evening and it kept pulling me along until the final page. Theo's concern for his missing friend is believable, and stakes are progressively raised. The ending is satisfying. I was a bit disappointed at first because it did not continue the previous story, but some closure was given at the end of this book. Due to some thematic material including drugs, alcohol and partying, I recommend this book for kids 12 and up and encourage parental discretion. Over all a well written, enjoyable and gripping story.

listened to this audiobook on a long drive. a good choice - - not so deep that it required intense concentration, but interesting enough to keep me going.
