Almost, but every time I thought of doing so, the end of the chapter would hook me in and I'd wind up reading more. The flashbacks tied back into the story in a necessary way but somehow still felt clunky. The rest of it? I couldn't put it down.
Graphic: Confinement, Death, Gore, Mental illness, Torture, Violence, Religious bigotry, Medical trauma, Murder, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , and Injury/Injury detail
