After LSP’s planned surprise party doesn’t get the turnout she expects, she decides she doesn’t want to be a princess anymore. BMO wishes to have the princesses inside him and that’s what happens. LSP, Breakfast Princess, Muscles Princess, Embryo Princess, Skeleton Princess and Turtle Princess all must work together to beat the different games BMO presents to win and return to the material plane. It was pretty good, but not the best AT comic.

Lumpy Space Princess makes it just in time for the Princesses-only surprise party she planned for herself, but LSP is in for a huge drama-bomb...

Out of all the Princesses of Ooo, only five of them showed up: Breakfast Princess, the co-ruler of the Breakfast Kingdom, Muscle Princess, Embryo Princess, Skeleton Princess, the ruler of the Boneyard Kingdom and Turtle Princess, LSP's bff.

Confronted by these events, LSP decides she doesn't want to even be a Princess any more, and her star gem slides out of her forehead.
Little do they know, as this drama unfolds inside the party, outside BMO is heartbroken for not having been invited. He wishes with all his heart that he could be a Princess, too!
Unfortunately, BMO is overheard by Magic Man who decides to make his wish come true, materializing the Princesses inside of BMO.

Now the Princesses need to work together and discover their strengths to defeat five levels in a game inside BMO before his batteries run out. And, in doing so, come to terms with what really means to be a Princess of Ooo.

This so called "Graphic Novel" is indeed just a b/w short comic. It has from one to three panels, so everyone can read it quite fast. The book has two stories, the one about the princesses and one about Gunter. In the first one LSP is organising her own "surprise party" but all the princesses end inside BMO's videogames! The story about Gunter is one without dialogues but full of adventures! A nice reading but I prefer the comics.

3.5 stars. I love anything Adventure Time, especially the princesses! And LSP is front and center, which is fun because she's my fave. I didn't love that the whole collection was black and white; it would have made more sense for the game parts to be B&W, not the whole thing. And I was a little confused about the whole game part at first. But! The personalities are all there and the lessons about accepting each other, working together, friendship. Plus, BMO! And princesses :)
