It isn't the worst chick lit book, and some may find it funny, but since I rate books based on how much I enjoyed it, this will have to be a 1.
I love Briticism and stuff, but this narrator simply didn't click with me. She was simply too silly. (and too young!)

Oh my goddddddd

There is so much more cringe in the book than in the movie. At points, it was hard to read, but at other times, I was laughing out loud!

I do think the age thing is weird, and you can definitely tell it was written in 1999 by some of the content lol

These books would never fly today. I'm okay with that. I still find them hilarious and so fun that I still appreciate the comedy genius in them. Bloody brilliant! I did audio the second time around and I highly recommend it for the fantastic English accent and comedic timing.

I recently reread this book for the first time in a decade or two, and while I still love Georgia and what a hot mess she is, I was surprised to realise how much homophobia and fatphobia is in this book. These are things I clearly wasn't tuned into when I was younger, but now struggle to read. I'd love to see this series updated via a good sensitivity read, because there really is so much else I love about Georgia and her oh so dramatic day-to-day life, but I really couldn't recommend this book to anyone in its current state without a huge Enter-at-your-own-risk asterisk.

This is Georgia:

This book is just marvy, as Georgia Nicolson would say.
