I especially liked this one, and it's a compliment to say that I'm always surprised these are written by a guy. A joy to read and sense of humor.

After loving the first three volumes, this one lost me a few times. The stories were still fun, and Ryan North's running commentary footnotes are great. I did also enjoy the Choose Your Own Adventure issue, and the Squirrel Girl tries to date storylines. The problems I had were the art.
I enjoy Henderson's style, but this volume felt weaker than the others. No, not the final issue, which is drawn expertly by Jacob Chabot. But in the second and third issues in this volume, there were a few times where the art didn't looked finished. It happens. There are a ton of deadlines for a monthly comic, so not of all of them can be The Best of an artist. This one just didn't work for me.
I still recommend it, if you've been enjoying the series. It's not Terrible Art or A Huge Change In The Status Quo, it's a couple of noticeable potholes in a previously perfect road.

Annoying and exhausting and tiresome. From the choose your stupid adventure, to avoiding marrying the mole man. To fighting bad guys in her sleep. Bad art, bad writing. And I just really don't care.

I wasn't a fan of the Choose Your Own Adventure bit, but oh how I adore Doreen.

this volume taught me how to COUNT IN BINARY and also displayed that as entertaining dating may be in fiction it is to be avoided at all costs in real life which is what i have been saying forever!
