I don't quite know how I feel about this collection of poems. When I read the two previous collections in this series I also felt kind of meh about them so I'm wondering if Amanda and I are just not connecting anymore as reader and writer. I know I'm not the only reviewer feeling this way but hopefully I can see some new and fresh content in the future from them.

Stunning book of poems. Very relatable and in the free form style I like. Found several of them to be exactly what I needed to hear.

The thing that I remember most distinctly about this book is the slight feeling that I may be outgrowing Lovelace’s collections.
I still think that there are valuable things that this book offered. It has a lot of important reminders and there were a few pages that I marked.
This was definitely better than Lovelace’s former release. It had more of a flow to it.
Lovelace had beautiful insight into creativity and the magic of storytelling in this collection. She reminds readers of their value in a way a true storyteller would.
Lovelace also addressed difficult topics in this collection with thoughtfulness (and provided trigger warnings). It felt like a safe book, written by someone who has been there.
However, I don’t think Lovelace’s books impact me quite the same way they used to. Regardless, I always find something of value in her beautifully illustrated collections.

I received an e-ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I don't normally read poetry, especially the modern kind, but wow, this book was beautiful in every aspect. Plus, it gave me everything I needed the moment I read it. This book deals a lot with burnout of a former "gifted kid" and that's exactly my case, so this hit very close to home and I've probably never felt so seen. It also touched on some more topics like grief or queerness.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this book because it was just what I needed. The poetry is amazing and the illustrations throughout this book are unbelievably gorgeous and sweet, so also props to the illustrator.

Got an eArc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This didn't connect to me as much as Shine your Icy Crown. Again, relating to my review of the first book of the series, this is more like a post from social media instead of a poem that has depth. The second book has the same element but I enjoyed and related to it which is why I let go of that reason. But in this 3rd book, I can't seem to enjoy the writing of the author. I'm giving this 1.75 stars because the author never fails to know the importance of trigger warnings and the narration of her own book is great.
