The only real flaw of this volume is the fact that its chapters are disjointed. We have the real end of the Picture Perfect arc, we have a mini-arc about final exams, and then we introduce the next arc which is the School Sleepover. A bit much for one volume.

Regardless. I liked how the Picture Perfect arc resolved. I always question my precious son because his intentions are always so difficult to read, but I shouldn’t have doubted. My boy ultimately loves Yashiro too much to really go against her wishes.

Another nice touch in this volume was Yashiro showing appreciation for Shijima’s world. Shijima has a lot of self-loathing because what she makes isn’t “real,” but Yashiro highlights the beauty of her work regardless of how “real” it is. LOVE that.

In other news. Akane and Teru’s competition had me CACKLING. Akane is so freaking silly. He’s way too obsessed with Aoi 😂 Regardless, bless his soul. Teru, on the other hand, is a menace to society and must be stopped by all means. I can’t believe I feel completely opposite feelings for the Minamoto brothers, but I truly do.

Finally. I’m excited to learn more about school mystery 6 👀 They seem super creepy!

P.S. I enjoyed the reference to E.T. If you know, you know.

So many feelings, I understand Hanako'd perspective and it makes me sad he doesn't think there's another way. Well done and I actually enjoyed the fictional world quite a bit! Interested in seeing what the mystery #6 will be!

I'm not a fan of this picture world school mystery1, so I'm glad this is the last of it. Not much is really happening, let's move on to the next school mystery please and thanks y
you. We finally move on to a school sleepover, cool! The focus becomes Nene's impending death. What's gon happen next?....
