Not my favourite in the series so far. Found this pretty hard to get through - quite stodgy in places throughout the middle. Sometimes it just seems like a bit info dump which I feel myself start to skim. Had higher hopes, but will still read on.

I hate all the characters, only maven was interesting and then he was gone. The plot is boring. There doesn’t need to be so many pages of no plot.

This book was sooo much better than the second. The second was so slow to read.
Still lots of political vibes, kinda reminds me of games of thrones with all the colour and houses. With all the GoT vibes, Maven is kinda similar to Joffrey. But I really don't understand the love for an boy who has no feelings other than an obsession with Mare which makes him an psychopath. I feel only sympathy for Maven. Was worried that Maven and Mare would end up together, can't wait to start the last book to see what kind of twist Victoria has in store.
