This book is just plain wonderful! Except it’s not plain at all, the characters shine, the descriptions are vivid and the world building is intricate and detailed! Sabine is different than others of her kind because she cares about those who are not her kind. I enjoyed her kindness and depth of character. Sit back and enjoy the ride as you read this action packed adventure!

I had mixed feelings about this book. Much like the last book, I had trouble getting into it. The beginning and ending parts were strong but the middle very much dragged on at times and I just couldn't focus on it. Despite that, I could tell that there was a large amount of detail put into the world and that things were carefully crafted. It just really wasn't the book for me unfortunately.

I read the first book in the series ans absolutely loved it. This one was no disappointment as a follow up.

It started off with a bang. Right from the get go it was very exciting and the story forces you to turn the page.

Don’t pick this up if you have somewhere to be, you’ll be disappointed you have to put it down. It’s so good.

The characters are great. I wasn’t expecting the final conflict in the desert. There was enough intrigue about the main characters toward the end that I’m dying to read the next one.

Great story over all.

I have it 4 stars becuase there were some places that could use some tightening up. There were a few times paragraphs repeated information within a paragraph of each other and that’s a little jarring. But over all the whole book was absolutely wonderful and worth the read.

Go read the first one if you haven’t, and then read this. If you have read the first, you won’t be disappointed!

All our friends are back in this thrilling continuation. The relationship between Malek and Sabine grows and you get more of Blossom who could be my favorite character. We learn more about the other races in this world that Jamie A. Waters created. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed the continuation of Sabine’s and Malek’s story! I read over half the book in one day. I love this author’s writing style. I love how Sabine is a very complex character who is continuing to evolve as the series continues. I have a theory of what Sabine is becoming. I can’t wait to see if I’m right!

I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a mix of fantasy and romance.

Usually, the second book in a series I feel is filled with a lot of unnecessary information, not with this one. This second book picked up exactly where the first book ended. I enjoy the humor of the characters in the books so far. And still, enjoy the writing style. I have laughed more than a few times just because the author is able to make the characters' feelings so relatable.

This story keeps getting better, more thrilling and utterly intense as the series continues. Sabine's story has captivated me and kept me on the edge of my seat with utter anticipation of what adventures and trouble she is going to to find herself and her amazing crew of unique individuals on next.

Each character in this story is unique and provides an interesting and fascinating view into their world. Sabine seems to run into new challenges with each place she stops on her journey. In this story, other magical races join into the world and continue to build this world up in captivating ways. On their travels Sabine and her friends encounter Merfolk and things don't quite go as planned. Along the way Sabine and Malek forge a bond like no other and their chemistry is intense! Malek still does not have the trust of everyone as they are constantly doubting his motives but Sabine seems to see the real him. They compliment each other quite well and even though we have our cast of magical creatures they really do feel like the central arc. These two characters together are going to change their world for the better.

Blossom, her sass and her personality are by far the most amusing part of this book. I cannot wait to read what comes next.
