Adventurous, dark humor, and an interesting approach to a missing persons story. I loved the way the story was written. It almost felt like a long stream of consciousness or a story being told to someone (if that makes sense). Daniel is a very lovable character but there were times where he had a lot of dark thoughts about death. I would recommend listening to the audio version. The narrator was 10/10!!

Enjoyed the plot and learning about SMA. Some elements were problematic enough to take away from really enjoying as much as I would have liked. Three biggest issues for me were the fact that this isn't own voice (obvious from page one and my bad for not researching that before I purchased), virtue signaling, and some ridiculously convenient plot points. I finished it though because I really liked Daniel, Travis, and Marjani and cared about finding out what happened. Makes it hard to figure out what to rate it overall.

This book is not a brilliant mystery, and I wish sections read less like a Wikipedia page. But the narrative voice was so compelling and funny that I ended up adoring this. Great characters.

Easy breezy football season read. It's clear that the author cares so much for Athens and UGA, and that really made me happy. The mystery/thriller aspect is certainly there, but most of the book focuses on the relationships between the characters and the protagonist's life. Nothing fancy, but just what I needed.
