I liked this book...for the first half. Then it seemed to lose steam. I don't know why. I just skimmed through the last half.

Wow. The synopsis didn’t do this justice at all. There were so many interesting layers to this story. I loved Tasia’s relationship with Emma, the hero’s daughter. There were a lot of incredible romantic moments. Such a fun read! I loved all of the Russian elements.

I wanted to be on board for this so hard. I read all the bad reviews of people saying the age difference was creepy. I tried so hard to view it as a Jane Eyre/Mr. Rochester dynamic- Jane Eyre being my favorite book of all time. The story takes a lot of parallels from Jane Eyre so it was easy to make the connection.
In the back half of the book there starts to be too much emphasis on the age difference and it starts to go into creepy territory.
My recommendation is to skip this series. I DNF the second in the series because hero cheating on the heroine (or vice versa) is a HARD PASS for me.
