I wish the other books in the series expounded on what happens with this character and didn't go into other characters.

In one word: amazing.
I knew without a doubt that I would fall in love with this book because of the author alone. Monica has captured my heart when I read her 'One week girlfriend' and 'second chance girlfriend' books.
And of course, without fail, she has made me fall in love with 'Crave'. This book is short and absolutely adorable - not too mention hot. I loved the two perspectives she provided for the readers - Archer and Ivy. We got both sides to the story and dammit, I am a sucker for stories with the male's perspective.
If you loved her previous books, she will not disappoint you with this one!

So sometimes you just need to read one of the billionaire/more money than God/in love with the little sister of best friend kind of books. They are like cotton candy. Real sweet but not terribly memorable. I love several of this author's other books and I was surprised by this one. Archer, Matt and Gabe are best friends, all rich, who swear they will never marry and bet each a million dollars for the guy who falls first. Sounds a little derivative. Archer agrees but in the back of him mind, he will always want Ivy, Gabe's little sister. Anyway, I did not feel the connection between Ivy and Archer. Their inner musings were, at points, annoying and just served to reinforce the character's dialogue. I found myself yelling at my Kindle - for goodness sake's tell her already!!! The writing was a little stiff which also surprised me. Ms. Murphy's One Week Girlfriend series had me hooked from the very beginning. Some of the books she's written as Karen Erickson are also engaging and sexy. But sadly, not this one. Ivy and Archer do this little dance of "I want him but shouldn't" or "I want her but I am a messed up guy" seemingly forever. It sounds like a few other books I've read in the past. They finally get together and have lots of sex and I felt..... not much of anything at all. Archer does something dumb and predictably, Ivy forgives him. Just did not feel that they needed to be together, and for me if I don't feel a connection between my MCs, I am doomed. I do love this author and may try the next in the series which focuses on Gabe. I did like him so perhaps his book will reignite my interest.

The synopsis got me hooked before I even started reading the book. I love the guy falls for his best friend's sister trope and this book didn't disappoint me. I did hope the next books would be about Archer and Ivy but I get that it's Gage and Matt's turn. I'm not as excited for the next ones tho, I'll probably read them during my summer break instead... We'll see. Enjoyable story for sure.

First book in the Billionaire Bachelors Club series, the story begins when best friends Archer Bancroft, Gage Emerson and Matt DeLuca are attending a friend’s wedding and bemoaning relationships in general. They make a bet that they won’t fall into the marriage trap, and as incentive, last bachelor standing wins one million dollars, with a secondary bet that the first woman Archer speaks to will be “the one.” Well, except for Ivy, since she doesn’t count. Ivy Emerson is Gage’s sister, and has been crushing on Archer since they were all kids. What she doesn’t know is that Archer has been crushing on her as well, but feels he is too “damaged” and wouldn’t be able to have a relationship….

The Good
Archer and Ivy have very good chemistry and their attraction is never in doubt. I liked the way it was written from both their POVs, you can easily appreciate their concerns and feelings when it comes to being in a relationship.

The Not so Good
Archer’s past, and the reasons for his doubts are given the shallowest of treatments. Ivy’s doubts are resolved very easily.

The Bottom Line
A nice easy read. But if you’re looking for any kind of depth or angst, look elsewhere.
