This book is incredibly cheesy and a bit cringe-worthy at times but strangely enough I read until the end! You don't have to concentrate very hard to read this serial killer novel, but its an okay light read.

This book tells the story of Jasmine "Jazzy" Talbot. She was your typical, rough-around-the-edges girl from the wrong side of the tracks but possessed a startling beauty that attracted the town's biggest heart breaker Jamie Upton. When Jazzy was younger she succumbed to Jamie's charm but as she grew wiser she realized he'd never offer her marriage and security because, well, then he'd lose his inheritance and he's too much of a greedy louse to turn his back on millions for the love of his life. Now he's engaged to marry a woman he doesn't love to please his gramma while still sniffing around Jasmine. But Jamie has ticked off one woman too many and pays for his sins in a most horrific way . . .
During all of this drama Jazzy's look-a-like comes to town. Is snotty Reve Sorrell a long-lost twin or just an annoying sub-plot? Reve despises Jazzy at first glance writing her off as a slut and is determined to leave town when a run-in with the sexy sheriff and a car accident delays her. Oh, how convenient . . .
I managed to make it through 200 pages of this book before peeking towards the end to discover the killer. It, like so many others, just couldn't keep my interest and the stereotypical characters didn't hook me at all. It was sufficiently gruesome but I think I've just read too much at this point or maybe I'm just overstressed but I'm not going to stress myself further by forcing myself to finish it.

Quick read, a bit hokey. The lead character's name was Jazzy... Kind of a dealbreaker for me.

I enjoyed this book and found it to be quite gripping. It's the first crime/mystery book I've ever read really so it was a good one to start with. Wasn't overly impressed with the writing style but that's just personal taste.
I'd recommend it to anybody.
