Honestly getting through this was a struggle. Jasper and Laura were insufferable in my opinion. Ted was the only character that I felt even remotely connected to and his storyline was bleh. I didn't find it funny, I thought Laura's whole obsession with "suitcase man" was creepy tbh.

Nope.

Poorly put together and it was just a mess.

Not once did the humor land throughout this book, and everyone in this book acted like they were just thrown a line to act out. Like the writer was like “Hey so this is how this character is like! She’s terrifying, no?” It was just weird all around.

i give it a 3.5- 4 star rating. she didn’t end up with the guy i wanted but i loved both of them. it was a very much rom com type book and that’s all i needed right now. very light and happy. i got kind of in a reading slump over the weekend but i’m back into my groove. it could be a rec for the right person. cute summer read for sure.

Loved getting lost in the setting of Jersey - opened a search for places to stay there on Airbnb almost immediately after starting this!
A nice story but sadly, incredibly predictable. I could’ve written a pretty accurate synopsis of the whole book, start-finish, by around page 100.
Nonetheless, an enjoyable, light-hearted read - a nice cosy story to not have to think too much about.
