3.5 ⭐️- Interesting premise, but definitely gives Venom vibes. I downloaded volume 2 on KU so we’ll see how it turns out

This character is clearly meant to be a Spawn knock-off, and as such it's pretty decent. By combining Spawn with a hefty dollop of Venom and a touch of Preacher, they've managed to come up with a fairly interesting take that's both familiar and somewhat fresh at the same time. I would've preferred that it take longer for the guy to master his powers, but the secret agent subplot is intriguing enough to forgive that.

A dark story about two brothers, one is a struggling priest and one is a government agent, who have never gotten along but are forced to work together in a way no one expected. Kirkman's writing is at it's finest in Haunt and the art, done by Ottley, Capullo, and McFarlane, create a dark and lush world not found in most comics.

Don't read this.
It changes hands at Volume 19 and becomes something different entirely. Kirkman was busy with the Walking Dead TV series and didn't have time to continue.

Though I don't understand the logistics of how Haunt comes into being (other than comic book magic), I enjoyed this. Eager to see what happens next!
