Actually a pretty solid 2.5! The story got a bit repetitive, but I'm looking forward to seeing where the author takes the series.

Valle has done it again! The way she weaves beloved tales together with a dark twist is amazing, and I am so enjoying this series.

Definitely an enjoyable read. Though there were times when I was pretty annoyed by Snowy. Again, I really like this negative twist. Can't wait for the next one.

This was a fun book and a nice twist on a classic tale. Snow is depicted differently but it’s not a bad change and the differences make for a really enticing story.

4.5 starts. I didn't love the beginning, but the last 3/4 of the book was amazing. I will definitely be continuing the series!

Like the first installment, this sits at 3.5 for me. The writing wasn't great, and the beginning and middle of the story were predictable. I did enjoy the ending, though. I like fairy tale retellings, but this series has just fallen short on a few points.

Anita Valle has an amazing imagination. This story was full of so many unexpected twists. I love how she is weaving different fairy tales together. I would definitely recommend this series for fairy tale lovers who enjoy retellings and dark and twisty tales.

Have you ever kept reading a book waiting for something, anything, good to happen? That's this book. It was interesting with the first book but now it's just becoming a bit depressing. I think I'll have to be sure to read the next book in the light of day.
