I won an audio copy of The Black Cat and Other Stories in a giveaway of Audrey. As a fan of Poe, I'm happy with extra insights provided as I finish a chapter in the app. Also, the narrator was able to capture the mood of Poe's short stories.

Won it in a giveaway and I quite liked it! I think it kind of failed at scaring me? Mostly it felt like I knew what to expect/what was going to happen. The cat story was tough to listen to I found.
I got the book on the Audrey app and it was interesting to have summaries about the characters/extra materials. I wouldn't have looked for any of it myself so I really liked to see the art! The rest felt like it would be useful for students maybe? Or people who are struggling to understand the book. Anyways, it's an interesting app, I'll def check out other books there.

3,5 más bien. Algún relato se hace eterno, pero en conjunto ha estado bien.

Edgar Allan Poe is the father of all crime and horror stories! I like how he used allegories in his stories. Like how pestillence hit the entire mansion. He could describe horror situation without using the words of 'horror'. We should learn from him.

Solo me gustaron unos cuantos, entre ellos Conversaciones con una Momia, El Entierro Prematuro y El Gato Negro.
