I have the original version.
Hemlock Lake, 11 miles long, not one single house on it, surrounded by deep tree laden hills; the very last place in NY to house Bald Eagles in the 1970s because it was so remote. No mention. Canadice Lake, 6 miles long, not one single house. No mention. They have 7 sites on Long Island, but only 3 west of the Genesee River - all on public lands.
For something that is supposed to cover New York STATE, I am disappointed as to the lack of coverage outside the Adirondacks and Catskills. Maybe the 2nd edition is better.
