I love the fantasy world and storyline of this book. It's going to be a series given the book didn't resolve.

Lightfall introduces us to a world where humans live alongside anthropomorphic animals, the sun no longer exists, and an ancient, forgotten terror is stirring.  Deep in the heart of Irpa stands the Salty Pig’s Tonics and Tinctures, home of the wise Pig Wizard and his adopted granddaughter, Bea. One morning Bea sets off to find some ingredients that her grandpa needs and she bumps into Cad, a member of the Galdurians, a race thought to be long-extinct. He’s seeking the Pig Wizard, so Bea and Cad head back to the house only to find that the Pig Wizard has set off on a quest, alone. Bea is worried about her grandpa because he’s older and sometimes gets mixed up, so she and Cad set off on their own adventure to find him. They run into lots of interesting characters and lots of danger too. This one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so I’m eager to get the second book.

The two books in this series are genuinely my new favourite books! The main characters are adorable and the references to Bea’s anxiety are so relatable. I also love the plot of the story with the lights and the history of where they are adventuring, it’s so entertaining! 100% recommend!
