I like the concept of this book more than the actual book. I liked how all the characters were seriously flawed, but they weren't very likable. I'm not sure if that was the intent, but I didn't care for Daisy or for Billy. Or anyone else for that matter.

BEST LISTENED TO AS AN AUDIOBOOK. That’s the main thing I have to say and the reason for my 5-star rating. There are 21 total narrators in the audiobook— cast feels so real that you begin to grow attached to the characters.

Since the whole book is entirely an interview transcript, the storytelling through the audiobook version was so entertaining and complimented the interview-style writing so well. Although, I wish there was a way to bookmark time stamps on Spotify, because there were many lines that I loved. Daisy talked about how everyone wants someone to hold up the right mirror for them and that made me want to get the physical copy later just to highlight that.

I loved the creativity, the hidden love story, the drama, the feminism, the intensity, the vulnerability of characters. Overall, one of my favorite books I’ve read this year and I can’t wait to watch the tv show adaptation!

Loved the style and tone of this book which perfectly mimicked a band documentary. The tongue in cheek humour really made me smile whilst I was reading and I also enjoyed the twist at the end. One of those books you can still read at the end of a tiring day at work and not want to put it down.

i had picked this book up such a long time ago as my trip book. i was so interested in the plot but i couldn’t get myself motivated enough to actually sit down and read it.

i just went on another trip and decided to give this book another chance since i knew i liked it. i loved the format, i haven’t read many, if any, books that were formatted like this. interviews can be annoying after awhile but it did truly read as a story regardless. i know that these type of things are never meant to be reliable and someone is definitely making stuff up but i will always love it.

i think i fell in love with daisy jones. i mean she’s a bitch but i can sympathize with her just like i can everyone else. billy is a dick but he put so much effort into everything. camilla is amazing. i understand karen completely. i hate but love everyone and i love books that make you feel conflicted as to what to believe and who to like. this was a perfect book to get out of a reading slump bc i didn’t struggle to get through it and i do have motivation to pick up another after this.
