I enjoyed this one more than the first book - simply because I liked the main characters more. And just some of the plot was done better in my opinion. Excited to see how the trilogy ends!
Minor: Cursing, Gore, Rape, Sexual content, Violence, Blood, Grief, and Abandonment

So I really enjoyed the first book in this series! It had a lot of interesting elements to it! However, this one just seemed way too much of a romance for me. (Yes, I know Nora Roberts is known for romance. Loa. The first book just had enough action to counteract it).
As far as favorite characters, I'd guess my favorite probably would be Connor. He confidence and big heart remind me of my husband. He is always trying to take care of everyone else.
As far as genre, I'd classify this as romantic fantasy. There are quite a few curse words and two sex scenes. The scenes were easy to skip over, but I still would have preferred none.
