Listen. Was this good? No. Did I enjoy the heck out of it? Hell yes I did. IPB never fails to entertain me.

I really enjoyed this of the series, Kira is a great character, as is Aehako, and I just love their relationship. I was torn whether I wanted them to just decide their mating, but I was glad in the end to have them experience resonance. Thought the alien spacing thing was a bit rushed, and could have been made more interesting if Kira had landed it close by, perhaps the tribe could of made use of it. But overall much improved that the previous novels!

I skipped book two because of the non-consent and/or dubious consent and went to this one hoping maybe I’d be into it, but I just have no desire to continue with this MC’s story.

I’m going to try another series since this one just isn’t it for me and Choosing Theo by Victoria Aveline was recommended as an alternative without dubious consent so I’m onto that instead!

Kira was a little depressing at first, but it was nice to see her evolve during the story. Aehako was perfect to balance Kira out.

This is very niche, but I do enjoy it. I kind of appreciated Kira's sadness, as I felt she had good grasp on the tenuousness of their situation. I like that she wasn't 100% gun hoe for sex with a near stranger in the beginning, while still liking him and wanting to be valued by the tribe.
